About
Khashtane is an emerging Cameroonian rapper from Buea, Cameroon, raised in Kumba. Rooted in hip-hop and driven by real-life experiences, his music reflects struggle, ambition, emotion, resilience, and the determination to build a better future.
His journey into music began at a young age. With limited resources, Khashtane started experimenting with music and freestyling using his first Android phone, earphones, and mobile recording applications. What began as a personal passion gradually became a serious commitment to developing his voice and identity as an artist.
In 2020, he recorded Love Me, one of his earliest serious songs. Although it was never officially released, the track was shared with friends and groups as he sought feedback and worked to improve his writing, delivery, and sound.
After years of learning independently, Khashtane released his first official single, “Unstoppable Rise,” on 2 July 2026. Written by Khashtane and developed independently with a friend, the track went through months of writing, recording, editing, and refinement. Using accessible equipment and BandLab as part of the creative process, he continued developing the record until its official release through Indiefy to major digital streaming platforms.
Shortly afterwards, he released “Legacy” on 15 July 2026. Unsatisfied with the original version's sound and overall production, Khashtane continued working on the track and released an improved version, “Legacy (Remix),” on 7 August 2026, with further work on the vocals, bass, mixing, and mastering.
Khashtane remains an independent artist. Together with a friend, he uses the name Honda Records as a personal creative identity for their independent music-making, rather than as a traditional record-label affiliation.
Musically, Khashtane does not limit himself to one message or emotion. His songs can be shaped by his mood, experiences, and the story he wants to tell.
