NANDZI — ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Ben Allie Ndlovu, popularly known as Nandzi, is a Swati trap artist, songwriter, producer, MC and event organiser based in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. He started writing music at the age of 8 and later taught himself music production through YouTube tutorials.
Nandzi has released successful singles that received attention from Mpumalanga radio stations and events. In 2021, he started his own record label, Flex Recordz, with a focus on uplifting artists and creating opportunities for performers through events and free performance slots.
His song “iNajah” was released in December 2021, with its music video being listed on MTV Base Mega Hits. He later released the EP “Kulihlata Tlaba”, combining Trap/Hip-Hop with two Amapiano crossover tracks.
In 2023, Nandzi received nominations from the Mpumalanga Hip-Hop Music Awards and Mzansi Art & Media Awards (MAMA23). He has also been featured in newspaper articles, received radio interviews and airplay, and worked with artists from Mozambique and Liberia.
Nandzi has performed on major local stages alongside artists including Indlovukazi, Kamo Mphela, the late DJ CitiLyts and Pitch Black Afro. He has also received production credits and produced music for artists within the Mpumalanga music industry.
His genres include Hip-Hop, Trap and Amapiano, and he remains active in music, production, events and artist development through Flex Recordz.
